You DO NOT want to miss this next band coming to CRTV LIVE! Destination 7 will blow you away - last week I said on our show that front person, Natasha Ponticelli, has a voice as an Angel and heart of a Godly servant... wait 'til you meet her! Come to Cana Cafe in San Diego to watch - or log online to our website (click on image above) to watch and participate LIVE!
Infusing rock with blues and funk, Destination 7 has fast become one of CRTV's favorite indies... not only for the production value behind their music (you'd never know they were indie), also for their hearts to use music as a vehicle to share hope. I heard their first song when I was at GMA's this year in April where Ponticelli handed me their first release, 'Wait For the Sun' to check out. I heard the first track, 'Believe', and immediately ran to get Jeremy (CRTV shooter and editor) - he had to take a listen. Who knew a band with a female vocalist could be SO powerful?!? Jeremy compares "Believe" to sounds of Coheed & Cambria - although D7 has a broader range and they love to worship! Just wait 'til you hear Ponticelli's voice... the music will AMAZE you...
...then you meet the band. 'Powerful' describes the meaning behind this band AND it's vision. D7's vision is more than a band... it's about using the influence of a band and its music to share their message of hope and Truth. Virtually new to the music scene, D7 has toured the Christian Music Festivals significantly this past summer and served in missions reaching youth at various locations.
Personally, one of my favorite songs off their album is "Wait for the Sun"... but I have to wait for next year before the music video is out before I can show the music video. I got a sneak peek and Anime and Manga fans will LOVE it!!
Another fav for me is "Shelter"... and I was blessed enough they performed an acoustic version of it on our set at Spirit West Coast this year - ck it out:
D7 was voted" 2007 Best Christian Artist of the Year" (Los Angeles Music Awards)
