DIZMAS in the Czech
I first met the two brothers of the band DIZMAS, Zach (lead vocals) and Josh (rhythm guitar), at last year's Spirt West Coast Festival in San Diego. Honestly, I hadn't even heard their music yet and here they were for a CRTV production with the willingness to share their heart for how God works in their lives. I had no idea what to expect; this tall skinny, European-looking guy came to the set in dreadlocks... so soft-spoken and mellow. I thought, "What kind of rock music do they play?" And after the production, simply based on what they had to share, I had to check out their show.
And what a show! Each member of the band brings a tremendous amount of passion and energy to their performances and time has only made their shows more exciting and intense. And yet they are gentle, fun, goofy and the most amazing guys you will ever meet.
Their music is raw, truthful and not at all pretentious. Lyrics reflect true life experiences by each member; and they are honest because you will get what they mean - you've been there too. Dizmas captivates you with rifts and melodies that stick with you all day once you've heard it. It's one of the few albums I will leave on 'repeat' in my player.
I also have to give their manager, James, props... his strategy in managing and promoting Dizmas has only fortified their vision and drive to perform and serve. They shared a vision with James to go to Europe and share their hearts - help young people there and James helped them make it happen. They are all about putting their faith into action... all the way to the Czech Republic which is where they are now.
